The Shanghai publisher has published another book by Milorad Pavic in Chinese. It's a love story called "A Fish Skin Hat." This title was published in 1996 by Draganić.

For his book Milorad Pavić says: "The love story of The fish skin hat takes place in the third century AD. Christianity is not yet accepted. My question in that book is what happens to lovers if one of them can see the future and the other can't see what's going to happen tomorrow? This was the case with many lovers and families in Yugoslavia during that last war."

"Fish Skin Hat" has so far been translated into French, Russian, Mongolian, Greek and Chinese.

DIGITAL INTERACTIVE EDITION OF THE DICTIONARY OF THE KHAZARS IN FRANCE

31 11 2023 0001

The French digital (e-book) publisher "Flora" has published for the first time a French version of the famous Khazar dictionary in interactive form, as it was designed forty years ago, when there was no computer, by Milorad Pavic. The reader will be able to simply click to move from one story to another, from one character to another, scrolling through this book that is an enigma.

The Khazar dictionary with linked terms can only now, thanks to technology, be read as Milorad Pavić wanted: that the book does not have to be read linearly from beginning to end, but the reader himself can choose the path of his reading; he can "collect" characters and epochs and thus actually make his own endless book without a classical beginning and end.

Many decades ago, world literary critics declared the Dictionary of the Khazars the first book of the 21st century.

The novel is located at this address, LINK1, LINK 2 while the trailer can be seen at Promo

Prve večeri govoriće pisac i profesor emeritus Sava Damjanov, Pavićev nekadašnji asistent i naslednik na katedri, dok će sutra o njegovom stvaralaštvu govoriti esejista i teoretičar Jovica Aćin. Uz parfem iz Pavićeve priče u četvrtak će govoriti profesorka Mina Đurić, a veče će zatvoriti njegova životna saputnica Jasmina Mihajlović.

Publika će videti snimak skrivanja knjige, a onaj ko je pronađe naći će u njoj i zapis o jednoj književnikovoj tajni.
